Battle Abbey
Having photographed hundreds of weddings over the past twenty years, I was pleased that my first Hindu wedding took place at one of the most historic places in England, Battle Abbey. I covered the first Wedding that was held at the Abbey some five years ago. The sense of history is everywhere from the battle ground to the Abbot's Hall where the great painting which must be thirty feet long makes a perfect back drop. Tony and Katie's wedding was very colourful, the authentic Indian food was marvellous. Many of the guests had flown in from India wearing tradional costume. The grounds of the abbey with the warm late October sun made for a some great pictures.

Powdermills Hotel Battle

The Powdermills Hotel is one of the top venues in the south. Over the years I have covered scores of weddings at Powdermills, I am very lucky, my studio is two minutes drive from the hotel, no matter what the weather it's a great venue for photographs. I took John and Sacha's wedding three weeks ago.The weather was kind to us and there was a great buzz, every body up for a good time. The meal was perfect, it's always good food at Powdermills, well cooked and served by nice staff. The time after the meal before the evening dancing some time drags but John and Sacha had roulette and Black Jack tables for the guests - perfect. www.powdermillshotel.com

Pre Wedding Studio Sessions

Pre- Wedding Studio Sessions
This year has broken all records for couples opting for my special black and white pre-wedding studio sessions, most not satisfied with a print in their album choose to have a large framed image to hang in their new home.
I think it’s great that young couples have the same love for black and white photographs as I have. In this digital age there are not many photographers interested in spending the time to learn the darkroom techniques needed to produce beautiful hand printed and toned bromide prints.
